The Dzanc Books internship program provides the opportunity for literature enthusiasts, under- and graduate students, and others to get hands-on experience working with a premier independent press.  Interns will learn from publishing from Dzanc staff, authors, and knowledgeable guests while helping advance the press's mission.

We are currently reworking our internship program; rather than running dedicated sessions per year, from Fall 2025 we will have a limited number of slots for interns who’d like to work with the press in a continuing capacity, for upward of six months. Qualifications and application instructions to come.

All internships are long-distance and unpaid.

Dzanc Books is a unique nonprofit press with a large list of remarkable authors and dozens of charitable programs involving literacy and writing and provides a great opportunity to experience publishing firsthand. Interns will gain invaluable insight into the running of an independent, nonprofit literary press and the publishing business in total.
